I have read the other rulings on this event, what I don't understand is why the card allows to unbow the unit, if the unit must be unbowed to take the action? it seems that the card is allowing for the unit to bowed to use this action, or don't the rules allow for the card text to supercede the rulebook?
Ideal Conditions vs. Bowed state
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.
(W)hat I don't understand is why the card allows to unbow the unit, if the unit must be unbowed to take the action?
The unit does not have to be unbowed. The card using the ability has to be unbowed, following the general rule that bowed cards cannot use abilities.
These threads specifically refer to cards, not units. viewtopic.php?f=59&t=58728 viewtopic.php?f=59&t=59578
