I've got a short question. My opponent attacks with, say, honorable Doji Ayano. I defend with Kakita Idzuki. I pass and my opponent plays The Crane's Strength with Determination. I react to targeting with A Soldier's Fate raising Idzuki's force to 8. What happens?

Idzuki still dies, A Soldier's Fate's negation is negated by Determination's effects.
Idzuki is then removed from the game.
