If I make a ranged attack that ends up with 0 strength, but it targets a card with 0 force - what is the end result? Is it NOT a ranged attack (0=negation), is it ineffective (0 against 0 is STILL 0), or does it destroy the card (it's a ranged attack that damages = to target strength)?
Thank you.
What about damage reduction? If I have a ranged 2 attack against a 0 force card that reduces ranged damage by 3, I then have a -1 or a 0?
Thanks again...

The target is destroyed, because "its Force is equal to or less than X" (http://rules.l5r.com/Glossary_R#Ranged_Attack).

Albinosting asked, "What about damage reduction? If I have a ranged 2 attack against a 0 force card that reduces ranged damage by 3, I then have a -1 or a 0?"
This is answered in the comprehensive rules.
A ranged attack's strength is treated as a stat for the purpose of minimums. Reference: http://rules.l5r.com/Glossary_R#Ranged_Attack
A stat's value cannot be below zero unless it is Family Honor, Honor Requirements, and stats with a + or – sign such as an Item’s Force and Chi stats. Reference is located under the sentance, "To get a stat's current value at any given time..." as step B: http://rules.l5r.com/Card_features#General_rules_about_stats

Thanks for the catch.
