If I have Ring of Earth in my hand and my battle is tied, say I used Immobile stance on a personality, will I still get to play the Ring, since I destroyed units? Or do I have to 'Win' not Tie, to put the ring of earth into play?

Ring of Earth text (bold is emphasis mine): After you destroy one or more provinces or enemy units by winning a battle at a province: You may put this card into play from your hand.
You do not win a battle by tying it. You may not put the Ring of Earth into play if you tie a battle.
