Just a few questions that came up in out local tournament last night.
The Khan's Gambit Winter Terrain Battle: Your Personalities have +1F and cannot move home. You cannot use abilities on your cards at this battlefield.
1) How is this restriction handled? Can I play cards from my hand, as they are not physically at the battlefield, or I cannot use abilities, including cards from my hand, at this battlefield?
2) Can I use reactions on cards at the battlefield that trigger off of Terrains being played (specifically Shinjo Saihan)? Shinjo Saihan Reaction: After any player announces a Terrain action: Give Saihan a +2F token.
3) Can my opponent send me home (via Block Supply Lines, Crippling Cut, etc.) after I have played The Khan's Gambit? My play group says there is a difference between the wordings of "cannot move home" and "cannot be moved home."
Thanks for your time!

Please search before posting. See "The Khan's Gambit" (1) and "khan's gambit + moving in". If you need more information, read also "The Khan's Gambit" (2), "The Khan's Gambit and Determination", "Mountain's Shadow Dojo and The Khan's Gambit", "The Khan's Gambit" (3) and "The Khan's Gambit" (4).
To sum it up, if you successfully played The Khan's Gambit, then while this Terrain remains in play: _ your Personalities have +1F ; _ any effect which would move home any of your Personalities is negated ; _ you cannot pay any cost which would move home any of your Personalities ; _ if any card that you control is at this battlefield, you can use no ability on it ; _ you can still play any abilities which are on your cards in any area other than this battlefield (see Areas of the game): another battlefield, your hand, your home, your discard pile, etc.

It depends on the specific text of each Reaction. Shinjo Saihan's action is legal because it is taken after the Terrain action is announced: at that time, no effect of The Khan's Gambit is applied yet. It would also work if it was triggered "before a Terrain action resolves" or "before a Terrain enters play". If the Reaction that you want to play from a card at the current battlefield is triggered "after a Terrain action resolves", then you can't use it because at that time you are forbidden to do so by the last effect of The Khan's Gambit.
Please use the search function before asking questions: see "Shinjo Saihan + The Khan's Gambit".

If your opponent is strong or handsome, I suppose he may threaten or seduce you so that you move home, or he may carry you there.
If you wonder whether effects from your opponent's actions can move home any units that you control, he will need to prevent those effects from being negated by The Khan's Gambit: with cards like Determination or Toshi Ranbo. Read also "Devious Explorer".

There is a difference in grammar but none in the game state: if a Personality cannot move home, then she cannot be moved home and vice versa. Usually "cannot be moved home" is used with "by" to explain what cannot move home some Personalities. For instance, while Dawn of the Spider's effect is activated, "Human Shadowlands Personalities [...] can not be moved home by Political actions" (emphasis mine), thus a Human Shadowlands Courtier or Magistrate Personality cannot pay the cost of the Political Battle action on her attached Brand of Cowardice, and any effect of any Political Battle action which would move her home is negated.
