What happens to an attachment when its personality is removed from the game?

Example: The Jackal's Kiss bring Daigotsu X to play form the Discard Pile as a Limited Action. Then I attach follower Y from my hand to Daigotsu X. At the end of the turn, Daigotsu X is removed from the game by the Jackal's Kiss effect.

According to the Comprehensive Rules: Under Using Attachments: [...]When a Personality leaves play, all his attached cards leave play in the same manner as he did[...] Emphasis mine.

Does this mean that Follower X is removed from the game as well?
