Ikoma Yasuko/Duty and destruction (L5R rules board)

I have Ikoma Yasuko, Honorable Boxable Lion Samurai, and Ikoma Asa at home. My opponent plays Fury of the Dark Lord. Can I... a) react with Ikoma Yasuko to prevent the death of Ikoma Asa? or b) react with Duty using Honorable Boxable Lion Samurai to prevent the death of Ikoma Asa?

Ikoma Yasuko: Political Reaction: Before another Lion Clan Personality is destroyed, destroy Yasuko: Negate the Personality's destruction.

Duty: Bushido Virtue Reaction: Before another player’s card’s effect destroys one of your Personalities, destroy one of your honorable Samurai Personalities at the same location: Negate the first Personality’s destruction.

Fury of the Dark Lord: Limited: Destroy each Personality with a base Gold Cost equal to or less than his controller’s Stronghold’s Gold Production plus 2. Remove all Personalities in discard piles from the game.

a) [Can I] react with Ikoma Yasuko to prevent the death of Ikoma Asa?

Yes.

b) [Can I] react with Duty using Honorable Boxable Lion Samurai to prevent the death of Ikoma Asa?

Yes.

Both Reactions are taken before Fury of the Dark Lord destroys any Personality so you can still pay their cost by destroying your own Personalities.
