Since the strongholds are cards, may I use the same old tricks to remove an a action printed on a Stronghold?

The Same Old Tricks Reaction: Before the second or later time in one turn the same action on a target non-Formation card is used, cancel that action and permanently remove it from that card.

No. http://rules.l5r.com/Card_types#Stronghold: "Effects, targeting and costs applied to "cards" do not apply to a Stronghold unless they specifically mention the word 'Stronghold.'"
