Wheels within wheels and seppuku

L5R CCG Rules board, 12 March 2008

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Can a personality without the samurai or courtier triat commit seppuku via the card "Wheels Within Wheels"?

Wheels within wheels:

Seppuku:

Reaction: Any number of times per turn, before you lose Honor from an action that targeted or was performed by one of your Courtier or Samurai Personalities: He commits seppuku. If the seppuku destroyed him, reduce the Honor loss to one.

Thank you for your time.

Yes.

The Reaction in the rulebook is not Seppuku, but an ability that Samurai and Courtiers can use to "commit seppuku."

Wheels within Wheels has another ability that allows any of your Huamn Personalities to "commit seppuku."
