Bayushi Hisoka

L5R CCG Rules board, 9 February 2008 to 11 February 2008

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 9 February 2008

If Bayushi Hisoka is killed or discarded and then re-enters play can I target a new card with him? Would the original target (targeted when Hisoka first entered play) still lose honor when it bows as long as Hisoka remains in play?

Yes. The trait triggers whenever Hisoka enters play.

Would the original target (targeted when Hisoka first entered play) still lose honor when it bows as long as Hisoka remains in play?

No. The effect of the trait that triggered when Hisoka entered play only lasts "while Hisoka remains in play." Once he leaves play, the duration on that effect has expired. Bringing him back into play doesn't restart the effect - it is gone for good. It does let you use his Trait again to start a New effect, though, as noted above.
