Minimum and Permanent Chi Loss

L5R CCG Rules board, 1 November 2007 to 9 November 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I've already done a few searches because I -know- there was a ruling on this sometime during Lotus, but I couldn't find anything that applied. Sorry for having to ask, but, having said that:

In Samurai Edition, is there still a difference between a "-1C Token" and the clause "permanently reduce this personality's Chi by 1" as regards its interaction with minimums? More importantly, can a personality who only has 1C (printed) who is wearing an appropriate Clan armor actually be killed by either of those effects?

Neither effect will overcome a Minimum Chi Value. Minimums get applied Dead Last.
