A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

The search engine refuses to accept "few against many" as keywords, so my apologies if this is old news...
If I cast The Fires That Cleanse against a unit with an unbowed follower, can my opponent react with Few Against Many, or would the follower be destroyed by the spell before the reaction takes place? The SE version of Fires specifies that it destroys the target unit, not just the personality.

Since Few Against Many is played before the destruction effect, it can be used by a Follower in a unit that is about to be destroyed to save that unit's Personality.
