I apologize, I'm almost sure this has been asked, though I'm not sure if this 'slant' on it changes anything for the first question, and would like to be sure the two things work.
Personalities:
Kan'ok'tichek (Experienced 3) Ratling • Nonhuman • Clan Champion • One Tribe • Tomorrow Chieftain • Bushi • Experienced 3 • Unique Reaction: After a Battle action resolves during which a Ratling entered play at a battlefield: Take an additional Battle action. Battle: Target three One Tribe cards at this battlefield: Kan'ok'tichek protects the One Tribe, destroying a target unit opposing him.
Zamalash (MRP from 'Tomorrow') Text Ratling • Naga • Nonhuman • Singular Reaction: After a Battle, Limited, or Open action on a Personality with the printed Ratling trait resolves: Once per turn, Zamalash copies the action's ability and takes an aditional action to use it.
I-m'jek Ratling • Nonhuman • Bushi • Naval • Chipped Tooth Tribe • One Tribe Open: Give one of your target Nonhumans Naval or One Tribe
Set up:
Action phase: I-m'jek gives zamalash the one tribe trait.
Battle phase: The three attack together at province A and my opponent defends with at least one personality.
Questions: A: Because i-m'jek is naval and the following rule, kan'ok'ticheck can take his battle action during the naval reaction since targeting in the cost makes that personality "perform" that action, correct? Even though it comes from a separate unit?
Naval Ability Reaction: If you are the Attacker and your current army has more Naval cards than the opposing army, once per battle after engaging: You have the first opportunity to take a Battle action, which must be performed by a target Naval Personality or one of his Naval Followers.
B: If kan'ok'ticheck's action is negated after it's announced, it still resolves, correct? Just not successfully and therefore zamalash can copy the action with his reaction and then use it, correct?
