Bayushi Maemi

L5R CCG Rules board, 17 September 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Bayushi Maemi has: Battle: Give a target Personality opposing Maemi -3F. Dishonor the target if his Force is now 0.

In Bayushi Maemi's ability, does the word 'now' only mean "at that time", or that the target's force must really change thanks to this action in order to be dishonored ?

For instance, I use my Bayushi Maemi's ability on an opposing honorable personality who already has zero force when I target her. Her force remains zero. Is she dishonored by Maemi's action ?

Thanks for your unequaled help.

Dishonored if 0, regardless of why.
