The man doesnt ask if death after life triggers from the death of his personality, he asks if he can revive the personality who was destroyed, because he doesnt have any other dead personality in discard pile. The post o redirected only talked about when it could trigger.

The first question in the oldest referenced post specifically says "one unit." I took that to mean there's only one possible thing to revive.
