Death After Life + Wedge

L5R CCG Rules board, 2 August 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I am resolving my first battle. I Wedge a unit. I respond to the destruction from Wedge with Death after Life. Is my current army at battle 1 or battle 2? Does anything change if I am resolving my last battle when I do this?

Thanks!

Wedged doesn't kill your unit "during a battle." It kills them "after the battle ends" (card text).

That's not a valid trigger for Death After Life, if I read the card correctly.
