Equipping

L5R CCG Rules board, 30 July 2007 to 31 July 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 30 July 2007

Does equipping count as a personality performing an action? As in, my personality has been targeted by Bayushi Saya(non-exp) and I target him to attach something, has he performed an action and thus subject to Saya's nastiness?

Does equipping count as a personality performing an action?

Comprehensive Rules, Perform: "A Personality or Follower is performing an action if its controller is the player taking the action, and any of these things is true:

"The action comes from an ability on the Personality or Follower." Does not apply.

"The action comes from an ability on an Item or Spell in the Personality’s unit." Does not apply.

"The Personality or Follower was targeted by targeting in the ability’s constraints block (between the two colons)." Applies. Yes.
