Brothers in Arms

L5R CCG Rules board, 24 July 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 24 July 2007

1.If I have a copy of Brothers in Arms in my discard pile (either the Experienced or the non-exp.) and I attach a non-exp to one of my Samurai, would I be able to ignore the Brother in the discard pile and fetch one in my deck?

2.If so, would I (according to the Search rules be unable to: a.Use their reaction again? b.Search my discard pile for a Brother?

Thanks.

You are not given an option to "fail to find" a card when Searching. If you can obviously find a Brothers in Arms in your Discard Pile, you have to take it. You may not ignore it in order to Search and Shuffle your Fate Deck.
