A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I've made a post about 2 or so weeks ago in regards to a ruling on Spells and ruling on if certain situation was legal. Here is a link to the post.

As stated there was to be a follow up on this? I was gone for over a week. Is there a follow up on this?

Spells can only attach to a Shugenja. Actions on a Spell can only be performed ("cast") by a Shugenja that the Spell is attached to.

Also note that the wording on the CR is going to be further clarified in regards to ritual-type spells.
It will not change the fact that a spell with the sole cost of "bow this spell" must be attached to a shugenja to be performed.
