Can Matsu Ouka react with her force bonus to her own death?

Matsu Ouka's Reaction
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Reaction: After a Personality or Follower in Ouka's army is destroyed: Give Ouka +5F.
This ability is written to be fully functional while Ouka is in play. It has no special exceptions to the rule requiring you to control a Personality in order to use that Personality's abilities. If she dies and does not immediately reenter play by means of some on-going effect, triggered trait, or Reaction (like say, Feign Death), you won't be able to use her Reaction because you won't control her when it is time to play the Ability.
She'd have to specifically reference her own death / leaving play in the ability's restrictions block for that to work - like say, Hida Kozan's, "Reaction: After another player's card effect destroys Kozan while he is in an army:" or Toturi Kurako's, "Political Reaction: After another player's action destroys Kurako:"
Those kinds of Reactions are clearly phrased to be used after the card they are on has already left play. Ouka's Reaction is not.
