A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I checked both the preview PDF and the Comprehensive Rules site. Both only indicate that a Personality must be Shugenja to attach spells, but doesn't indicate that you need to be one to cast spells. Also, if a spell just says "Bow this spell" must you still be a shugenja to cast it?
Most of these questions come from the fact that with Hall of Ancestors, it's fairly easy to get Shugenja copied onto a non-Shugenja, attach a spell and the like. I just want to know if I need to keep copying shugenja onto them to cast a spell or not.
