The Brotherhood's Influence

L5R CCG Rules board, 22 June 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 22 June 2007

Political Limited: Each player may target two of his units. The target units cannot assign until the start of your next turn. If no player targeted two units, you gain 1 Honor for each of your Rings and Monk Personalities.

Who does the targeting first, is it the active player? That is, can I play the Brotherhood's Influence, wait and see if my opponent targets, then if he doesn't, can I target two of my units, or decide not to? Or do I have to make the decision to target first or pass, and get no second chances?

Active player chooses the order.
