A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.
I never saw any mention of it in the rules preview today, so I have to ask: CAN you use Open actions in battle? If I'm reading the rules correctly, you can't, and that's a MAJOR change for me.
Edit: Eeep. ^_^; Of course my question refers to whether Open actions WILL be usable in battle according to Samurai rules or not, not if the CURRENT rules were changed...sorry...

In Lotus, as long as you follow Presence and Relevance, and any additional restrictions on the action itself.
