Keyword Question

L5R CCG Rules board, 18 May 2007 to 27 May 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Do keywords used as adjectives in titles make a card a <Keyword>-card?

For example, do the following words equate to the following keywords?:

Openly - Open Watery - Water Earthen - Earth Firery - Fire etc. Also, when keywords such as Open, Limited, Battle, and Reaction appear in the title, does that make the whole card that type of action? I know it doesn't change when the action can be played. What I'm asking here is if cards that affect specific keyword actions can target them, even if the keyword only appears in the title?

Examples: Suppose there was a card with Limited in its title and the action on the card was an Battle action. If it targeted a unique personality, can Fields of Pyrrhic Victory cancel this action. A card called Open Arms (APC, comm) has a reaction on it. If I played a card that targets an Open action, can it target this card?

Thanks for your time.
