Yet another Chitik question

L5R CCG Rules board, 8 May 2006

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from the Wayback Machine (its copy), so posts it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Searching through old posts I came to this thread

I'm a little confused over the "appropriate time". Just to be explicitly correct here, an immideate terrain would resolve and then be removed from the game, but a delayed terrain would stay in play until the end of the battle and then be removed after it resolved. Is that correct?

Another question just came to mind as well... You can't play formations off chitik because he doesn't allow you to use the rule book action to put them into play. Could you use the Castle of the Swift Sword trait to just play it as an action?

Relevant Text:

Once per turn, if you control a Tactician at the current battlefield, you may play a Formation as a normal Action card for one of its abilities, ignoring “Formed By” requirements.

No. Terrains stay in play until the Resolution Segment.

With Chitik, yes.
