Explored territory

Card text:

Text Immediate Terrain Battle: The next time one of your cards in this battle (other than Explored Territory) would be destroyed by a card effect, negate the destruction and draw a card.

Question:

Can this terrain negate the destruction of cards outside the battle action segment, like destruction from, Sorrows Path or an Ashura, i supose that it does not work with yu cos is a rulebook effect rather than a card effect but i had a non-sense disscussion with a friend about sorrows path and this card.

Can this terrain negate the destruction of cards outside the battle action segment?

Yes. Terrains stay in play through Resolution Segment (Diamond rulebook).
