Akodo Sadahige Clarification

L5R CCG Rules board, 1 April 2005 to 2 April 2005

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from the Wayback Machine (its copy), so posts it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Akodo Sadahige

6HR/7G/3PH

Lion Clan Braggart * Samurai * Tactician

Battle: If Sadahige is in the current battle, once per battle, play an Action card from your discard pile for one of its Battle actions as if it were in your hand. Remove the card from the game.

Because of the bolded part on the card above we needed clarifications.

1) You use Sadahige on a delayed terrain for the action printed on the terrain, Does the action resolve because you are using the terrain for one of it's actions (IE Sadahige's wording imply's that the action has to resolve to fulfill his remove from the game indication). So would the action be removed after the terrain resolved.

2) immediate terrain's. Does the action of the immediate terrain kick in and then the terrain is removed from the game. Thus eliminating the use of immediate terrain's with sadahige (except the one that bow's and only unbows if it is destroyed(removeing from the game would bypass this, making the new immediate terrain that bows people of greater than 4 force highly useful.)) or does the immediate terrain completely resolve it's printed battle action (that you played it for).

Or something else I haven't written.

Thanks!

Sadahige removed terrains as soon as they are successfully played; this will be before effects occur for Delayed Terrains. (Fixed.)

immediate terrains. Does the action of the immediate terrain kick in and then the terrain is removed from the game.

Again, once played, it will have an immediate effect and will then be removed. (Fixed.)
