If I have Otomo Taneji in play, can I target him as a Courtier and then as a Samurai with Well-Laid Plains.
I searched the rulings on this forum and only found this which is very contradictory. [Edit: This has now been corrected. -ZF]

You can't, because "Target an X and a Y" requires two targets, just like "Target two Xs" does. Targeting one card twice does not work for this.
Targets that appear in different sentences may be duplicates.
