L5R CCG Rules board, 2 March 2005

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from the Wayback Machine (its copy), so posts it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Now according to the second part of rage of the Matsu:

Tactical Battle: Target a Personality in his controller's home. Move him into the current defending army. If he moved, straighten his unit

now if i am defending and the attacker has someone at home, using this the way it is worded i should be able to bring that peronality into my army because i am defending. i have been told that i cannot because i am not his controller, but according to the wording i do not have to be the controller if i am the defending army, just as long as the personality is in his controllers home when i play this action. Is this correct? or just bad wording?

Nope. Archive, General, Battle, Action Segment: Units can't enter an army unless your its leader or ally.
