Alderac Forum Rules
Forum moderators may or may not be Alderac staff members, but either way, please respect them, as they are the authority of the forums. Speaking to them with intentional spite will not be tolerated and may result in the loss of your forum privileges. Any decisions made by an AEG Staff member is final and not subject to discussion. These rules are subject to change by only AEG staff members.
Posts may be removed, and individuals may lose posting access to this forum, for violating any of these rules.
If you have a complaint regarding another user, send a private message to the appropriate forum moderator or any of the staff members. If you have an administrative issue, contact Ray Lau by sending a private message to "Rayeg" or email to "rlau@alderac.com" .
Content or links to any of the following are not permitted: illegal downloads ("warez"); pornography and other inappropriate images; racial, religeous, or other hatred; sexism; vulgar language; harassment; slander; general offensive content.
Reposting of private correspondence, including email, instant message services, and chat forums such as IRC, may be done only with the express permission of all individuals quoted within.
Use HTML and other markups within reason when permitted. Font/color changes are acceptable unless they cause unreadable or excessively garish text. Links to other web pages are acceptable within the limits listed above. Inlined images are likewise allowed. Advanced features, such as frames or tables, that misalign or otherwise corrupt the display of Alderac's forums are not permitted.
Keep each post on-topic for its forum and thread. (Posts that are more appropriate for a different forum may be moved rather than erased.) A list of all our forums is available here.
Duplicate similar or identical posts are not permitted.
Personal attacks and deliberately disrespectful or argumentative content are not permitted.
Personal responses that are not of general interest to all readers should be sent directly to individuals using private messages or email, not the forums.
Do not begin a new thread if there is an existing one on the same topic.
Impersonating or misrepresenting oneself as someone associated with AEG is not permitted. Neither is deliberately misrepresenting or misquoting such individuals.
Re-altering or re-posting content that has been removed by moderators is not permitted. Neither is deliberate circumvention of automated word filters.
Warnings of, and requests for, moderation do not belong in threads themselves. The former are not appropriate from readers. The latter should be sent via private message to a forum moderator, as requested above.
Do not post suggestions for new cards or Strongholds.
Netiquette
Written text has no inflection, and, as such, you should be careful how you write your messages, as interpretation will vary from person to person. Please take advantage of the built-in emoticons to add such expression to your words. Proper interpretation of a post is the responsibility of the poster, not of the reader.
Do not flame or insult other users. Such messages will be edited or deleted. Out of courtesy to other users, do not post random off-topic messages, especially in existing threads.
Please remember the golden rule: to treat other forum users the way you would like to be treated. Please use common courtesy, and enjoy using Alderac Entertainment Groups forums.
