Tselu Sensei and dishonor

L5R CCG Rules board, 6 September 2015

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Hi,

I just wanted to make sure; if you bow your dishonourable Magistrate and another player's personality with a PH of one or more for Tselu Sensei's ability (and have a lower family honor then them) does your Magistrate rehonour?

Tselu Sensei - Open, Bow your target unbowed Magistrate. Rehonor and bow another player's target dishonorable Personality. Gain Honor equal to the second target's Personal Honor if his controller has more Honor than you.

Yes. In your scenario, the Honor from Tselu Sensei's last effect would rehonor your Magistrate instead of being gained.

Rehonoring: (emphasis mine) "Before a player gains one or more points of Honor from an action or trait that targeted or came from one or more of his or her dishonorable Personalities.
