Yoritomo Kinshikirai not tireless

L5R CCG Rules board, 16 August 2015

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Should Y. Kinshikirai's interrupt ability include the Tireless keyword? If the ability is not tireless how does he use it, and how can he straiten if he Isn't bowed?

Should Y. Kinshikirai's interrupt ability include the Tireless keyword?

Nope.

If the ability is not tireless how does he use it, and how can he straiten if he Isn't bowed?

The straightening effect of his Interrupt is delayed until AFTER the action that he Interrupted resolves.

Therefore, you could use his ability to Interrupt your own actions after you choose them to target him, like A Kensai's Victory, Benefits of Honor, or Caught Among Thieves, and after the action bows him and all its other effects resolve, his own ability would straighten him.

Of course, if you're Lion Clan, his ability's functionality is even broader, allowing you to Interrupt another player's action; another player could be targeting him with something like Imperial Summons, and you could have him end up unbowed afterward.
