In regards to this http://www.alderac.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=114163 does, by Gladiator's ruling mean the dreaded "Foo Rule" is back? Because I take away from that response is that just because the card is named (italics for emphasis, will edit away if it's against forum rules) "Ashigaru Conscripts" means it works with the aforementioned cards?
Ashigaru Conscripts/The Foo Rule
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Not in the least, and I think you misunderstand the purpose of the Foo Rule.
Prior to a fixed definition of "keywords", the Foo Rule essentially made every word in the title, along with what used to be called "boldface traits", into a keyword.
The CR currently has a very specific way that cards can reference other cards - by title (meaning the full title), by subtitle (again the full subtitle), or by keyword (individuals).
The card "Ashigaru Conscripts" has the Ashigaru Conscripts title, no subtitle, and the Ashigaru keyword. Therefore it will be found by cards looking for "Ashigaru" or "Ashigaru Conscripts". It will not be found by cards looking for Conscripts, although under the Foo Rule, it would have.
Also, I'm not sure why you'd refer to the Foo Rule as "dreaded". It worked quite effectively for years, absent the "Foo of Bar" addendum (later reversed) that was put in to fix one card.
