With the changes to the rules in Twenty Festivals, some existing cards are in need of technical errata to make them work as desired. These errata take effect immediately. Expect updating of the Oracle and relevant rules question threads this week. Note that none of these errata change card keywords.
Traditionalist (A Line in the Sand): Text changing to read: You may not play other Allegiance cards. Your Favor actions may target your Personalities as well as other players'. Political Open: Put this Strategy into play. Political Interrupt, If the action is Favor and is targeting your Personality, its player must choose a different target, if legal.
This new wording of the Interrupt reverses existing rulings; the Interrupted action is now re-targeted, not simply prohibited from targeting your Personality.
Final Sacrifice (Ivory Edition): Text changing to read:
Interrupt: Target your Yojimbo. The action targets him instead of another card, if legal.
This new wording supports an existing ruling, as well as Design's intent, that the player of Final Sacrifice should choose which effect targets the Yojimbo in the case of multiple targeting instances. It explicitly lets its own player choose "another card."
Takeru Sensei (A Line in the Sand): Text changing to read:
Your Stronghold has no abilities. After another player resolves an action or trait, or produces gold, from his Holding with a Wealth token, you gain 1 Honor and he may discard the token. Economic Open, Give another player's target Holding a +1GP Wealth token.
This reflects the new Gold production rules that don't require a trait for a Holding to produce Gold.
Finally, we are taking the opportunity to issue an erratum that has nothing to do with 20F rules, but simply to make a card in 20F work as it reads.
Diligent Care (Twenty Festivale)
Open: Put this Kata into play. Discard your other Kata in play. Interrupt, If the action is another player's, put your attachments in your hand instead of in your discard pile when the action destroys them or their Personality.
This preserves the intent of the card's reminder text; it is being changed so that the "for" wording does not have to be interpreted broadly, because strictly speaking the destruction of a Follower "for" the destruction of its Personality comes from the rules, not the action's effects. This also eliminates the unwanted implication of "return" instead of simply "put" in the original.
