A player, 5 May 2015
Card Title: Daidoji Hiroteru
Set: Twenty Festivals
Force 2/Chi 2
HR6 /GC 5 /PH 2
Keywords: Iron Crane • Samurai
Text: Hiroteru has +1F for each bowed card in the enemy army.
Battle: Fear 3.
Hi, I have the following doubt regarding this personality's trait: If another personality bows to make a melee or ranged attack directed at Hiroteru, would he earn the +1F before that same melee/ranged attacks actually hits him? Logic dictates that as the enemy personality bows (since it needs to actually bow to complete its ranged/melee action) Hiroteru would obtain the +1F bonus "instantly".
am I right to asume this?
Thanks in advance!

Yes. Hiroteru gains the bonus as soon as the card bows; this includes a card bowing for the cost of an ability targeting him with a ranged/melee/fear attack and prior to the resolution of that attack.
