wedge + courage beyond question

L5R CCG Rules board, 11 April 2015 to 17 April 2015

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 11 April 2015

Wedge: Battle: Target your Personality. You may not use abilities on cards in his unit or target them with actions. Before this battle resolves, double his unit's Force. Destroy him after the battle ends.

Courage Beyond Question: Interrupt: Negate all Force bonuses and penalties from the action.

question 1) will wedge force bonus still be negated, even if wedge bonus is a delayed effect? or will the interrupt do nothing since its a delayed effect?

2) will the wedge target still dies since he didnt double his force?

Courage Beyond Question will negate force bonuses from an action even if those bonuses are delayed as in the case of Wedge.

The Wedged Personality's destruction and the force bonus are unrelated, and therefore even if the bonus is negated, the Personality will still be destroyed.
