L5R CCG Rules board, 7 April 2015 to 9 April 2015

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 7 April 2015

This card says: If the current enemy army has any units, transfer your target Fortification at its battlefield to another Province.

Does the "its" refer to the army or the fortification?

The former would mean that the Fortification must go from the current battlefield to somewhere else, but why wouldn't the text say "at the current battlefield" or just "here"?

The latter would mean that the Fortification can travel between two batlefields that are not the current one, but why wouldn't the text say "from its Province"?

"Its" in this case refers to "the current enemy army"; you're right that it doesn't work logically if "its" referred to the Fortification.
