Legacy Holding Rule

L5R CCG Rules board, 4 March 2015 to 5 March 2015

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

The new rule looks to state that you lose the game strictly on the purpose of not finding a legacy holding when using the legacy dynasty ability. Was this meant to be the rule, or is the intent to lose the game if you do not recruite a legacy holding? What if you have no gold or at a minimum not three gold and search find the holding but cant afford to play it. You still have the holding, and found it. You just cant recruit it, but the game lose is not on a fail to recruit or is this a misinterpretation of the letter of the rule.

If you do not find a holding you can Recruit, you will lose the game. Always pay 3G (in 20F Arc, Strict or Extended).

This is a REVERSAL.
