Is Feign Death played during the action that kills the person? if so, if played during an unstoppable action can the player not feign death?

That is correct, another player may not play Feign Death as an Interrupt to your Unstoppable action. However, you may play it during your own Unstoppable action, as you can Interrupt your own Unstoppable actions.
