A player, 24 February 2015
Poison Sake Text Open, : Bow your target unbowed Courtier or Ninja. Target another player's Personality. After the next time (this turn) his controller assigns him, targets him, or an action from a card in his unit resolves, give him two -1F/-1C Poison tokens.
Ambush Text Limited: Target your unbowed Personality and another player's Personality. Create a battlefield (not at any Province). Assign your Personality to attack there. Assign the other Personality to defend there, even if he is bowed. Other Personalities cannot move there. Fight a battle there (after this action resolves). After the battle ends, lose 5 Honor.
If I play Poison Sake and then ambush or Goju Kumoru the personality will they receive the poison tokens from assignment or will they not since it says they have to assign the personality?
Thank you,

The target will not receive Poison tokens, as Ambush/Kumoru is assigning the Personality, not the Personality's controller.
