I'm trying to read the rulebook and I can't seem to find a specific answer (I've actually read the starter deck rulebook and the download one on the page now...). I'm sure this is easily answered but none of the game stores where I'm at are really supporting L5R right now! Anyway, sorry. Here goes.
During the Battle Phase, does the attacker declare ALL battlefields at the same time? IE: He places all his attacking Personalities for all four battlefields at once? Or, does he attack with some of the Personalities to one battlefield, it resolves completely, then he moves to the next battlefield and assigns the next Personalities he wants to?

Assigning all happens at the same time. The attacker then chooses the order to resolve the battles at each battlefield.
