A player, 1 December 2014
Scenario:
I have Hasaiki no Oni.
I use Ambush and target an opponent's Personality with my Hasaiki no Oni or another of my Personality.
After the Battle, Hasaiki no Oni or my other Personality will bow from the battle created by Ambush.
Question:
Could I use the first ability of Hasaiki no Oni to prevent him from bowing from the battle created by the Ambush card?
Card Title Hasaiki no Oni Force/Chi 11 5 HR/GC/PH - 12 0 Keywords Shadowlands • Nonhuman • Oni Text After Hasaiki enters play: Lose 10 Honor. Hasaiki will not be put under a Sensei. Reaction: Before a card's effect bows your Personality: Negate the bowing. Battle: Once per battle, target an enemy Personality and a legal target for a Ranged Attack from this card: Bow the first target. Ranged Attack targeting the second with a strength equal to the first target's Force.

Bowing as an attacker at the resolution of a battle is a rulebook effect, not an effect from the card Ambush. So Hasaiki won't stop you from bowing.
