How does/will the Brotherhood Sensei (specifically the -1 gold production) interact with the previewed Unicorn stronghold from 20 Festivals?
The key part being the trait: "This Stonghold produces 4 Gold on your first turn."
That seems like a Stat change, whereas the Sensei is providing a modifier. So what's the order they would be applied in? Set to 4, then -1GP for a total 3?
Would it matter if you were going first or second? If you went second it seems like the modifier from the Sensei would have already been applied, then once you begin your first turn the trait kicks in and sets the production to 4 (which it already happened to be).

Does -1g refers to gold on strongold or trait also?

The trait on the Endless Plains of the Unicorn is to be read as setting the Stronghold's GP stat to a value on the first turn.
So, when the Stronghold and Sensei are revealed, the Sensei's GP modifier is applied, so that in the Endless Plains + Brotherhood Sensei scenario, the Strongold's GP is 4. At the start of the Unicorn player's first turn, the Stronghold's trait begins to apply, setting the Stronghold's GP to 4, which is done by applying no bonus or penalty.
For the first turn, then, the Stronghold's GP stat calculation is: 5 (printed) + -1 (Sensei) + 0 (trait) = 4.

Just looking for a little clarification. In effects that set a force or chi to a specific value, this is considered a bonus or penalty. The new unicorn SH sets its value to a specific number and this is not considered a gold production bonus or penalty. Why are these different?

I think you misunderstand me here, in particular the underlined phrase: "... the Stronghold's trait begins to apply, setting the Stronghold's GP to 4, which is done by applying no bonus or penalty."
The "bonus or penalty" required to set a value of 4 to a value of 4 is 0, which is defined by the rules as being neither a bonus nor a penalty.
If you are not using a Sensei with a GP modifier, the trait will create a penalty of -1GP to set the Stronghold's GP to 4; if you had a Sensei with a -2GP modifier (or, say, you're using Brotherhood Sensei and your opponent is using Nio Sensei), the Stronghold's trait would create a bonus of +1GP.
