Shibata Sensei
You may bow your target unbowed Courtier instead of discarding the Imperial Favor for Favor actions.
Oriole Imperial Vanguard
After the first time each phase a Political action targets this Personality, negate its remaining effects.
Ring of Air
Play after you resolve two or more Favor actions in one turn.
Rulebook
Favor Political Limited: Discard the Imperial Favor and a Fate card to draw a card.
Favor Political Battle: Discard the Imperial Favor to move a target attacking enemy Personality home.
Traditionalist
Your Favor actions may target your Personalities as well as other players'.
Question 1: What part of the targeting restrictions in the Favor Battle action does Traditionalist override? Can I target my attacking personalities? My opponent's defending personalities? My defending personalities?
Question 2: Assume I am playing Shibata Sensei and have Oriole Imperial Vanguard Attached to a my Courtier. I announce either of the Favor and target my Courtier to pay the cost of discarding the Favor. Does the action get negated before or after the his bowing?
Question 3: Can the Ring of Air be put into play off of Two Favor actions negated by Oriole Imperial Vanguard?

Question 1: What part of the targeting restrictions in the Favor Battle action does Traditionalist override? Can I target my attacking personalities? My opponent's defending personalities? My defending personalities? It just removes the "enemy" part: you can send home your attacking Personalities.
Question 2: Assume I am playing Shibata Sensei and have Oriole Imperial Vanguard Attached to a my Courtier. I announce either of the Favor and target my Courtier to pay the cost of discarding the Favor. Does the action get negated before or after the his bowing? The action targets and then bows the Courtier: it doesn't bow him "as" it targets him. The action is negated after it targets him, which is (just!) before he bows.
Question 3: Can the Ring of Air be put into play off of Two Favor actions negated by Oriole Imperial Vanguard? Sure: Ring of Air just requires that you resolve the actions, not that anything happens in their Resolution steps.
