A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A few questions about A Good Death:
1. Does the destroyed personality have to be defending, or only the follower has to be defending (checking the grammar)? 2. The "target personality" can be anyone of yours, including ones at home that aren't in the battle? 3. I assume the +2F is not permanent, but is the resilient trait permanent?
Thanks!

1. The personality does have to be defending. See CR page 44, under Conjunctions.
2. The targeting still has to follow the Rule of Location, which states cards in units must be at the current battlefield. See CR page 38.
3. Both the +2F and the Resilient keyword last only until the end of turn.
