A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. A player, 27 October 2014
Player A attaches an item with a Gold Cost of 3 and pays the 1g invest on it. Player B wants to play Your True Nature to destroy it, getting a 3g discount because the target is an item. Does he destroy it for free because the printed Gold Cost of the Item is 3, or does he need to pay 1g because it was invested?
Battle/Open,* : Destroy a target attachment with Gold Cost less than or equal to the amount paid, or the amount paid plus three if the target is an Item.

The Item's gold cost is 4g after Investing, so Player B must pay 1g for Your True Nature.
