If I both Invest Ide Ryou and use his interrupt, I place 1 token from the Interrupt and up to 3 from the Invest (no more than one per holding)?
I assume that since the Interrupt isn't restricted, I can place that token on the same holding as one of the ones from the Invest?
One of our players is reading him as the "in total" limiting the total number of tokens he can place, not just affecting the per-holding limit from the Invest.
Interrupt: After you Recruit Ryou, give a target Holding a +1GP Wealth token. [b]Invest 10[b]: Give (in total) three +1GP Wealth tokens to one to three target Holdings. This Invest cost cannot be reduced.

I'm afraid both you and the other player are incorrect.
The Interrupt token is indeed not restricted by where you place the Invest tokens.
However, there is also no per-Holding limit on the Invest.
If you only target one Holding with Ryou's Invest, you give that Holding all 3 tokens. If you target two Holdings with the Invest, you give one of them 2 and give the other 1.
I hope that helps.

As a follow-up to viewtopic.php?f=59&t=109872#p1438488 , I note that I wasn't entirely clear in part of what I was asking.
If I both Invest and Interrupt, I place 4 tokens in total, correct?
Also, thanks for the response in the previous question, I completely thought that there was a restriction of 1 per holding on the Invest. Good to know that's not the case

In turn, sorry I wasn't totally clear with my answer.
The Interrupt and Invest are completely separate, so yes, using them both can result in a total of 4 placed tokens.
And you're very welcome.
