Hello,
My Sora with a weapon attached (Justice of the Crane) gets some Planted Evidence played against him.
My understanding is that the destruction of the personality and the item occur simultaneously and the owner gets to resolve each one. If I elect to have the weapon destroyed first, I should be allowed to draw a card for Sora's weapon being destroyed correct? If not (or if my reasoning is incorrect) what is the correct way to go about this?
Cheers!
Sora: Before one of Sora's Weapons is destroyed, draw a card Planted Evidence: Ninja Limited, 10gc : Destroy a target Personality with 3 or lower Chi, or with 4 or lower Chi if you control a Ninja Personality. Lose Honor equal to your Starting Family Honor.

Planted Evidence only destroys the Personality. Once the Personality is destroyed, its attachments leave play in the same manner (being destroyed - comp rules, p22). So Sora will be in your discard pile before the weapon is destroyed.
