May i use ring of earth as an interrupt to any action (even during the action phase?) I ask this because my opponent who is using the shadowed estate named the ring of earth during the action phase. Having means to straighten the ring, i wish to use it during the action phase so that the next time i use it during battle, its effect wont get negated.

Yes. Ring of Earth's ability does not begin with If, so you are not limited on when you can take it.
