Interrupts and exceptions

L5R CCG Rules board, 8 April 2014 to 9 April 2014

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I would just like to clarify this before the Kotei this weekend.

According to this, combining "attack effects" are announced like interrupts and thus follow an interrupt's timing window. Is there any exception to this rule? Can I safely assume that ALL interrupts follow the same timing window, regardless of when exactly they start to affect an action?

No exceptions, indeed. All Interrupts to an action are taken between the points of the action when costs are paid and effects resolve, even if some or all of the Interrupts' effects are delayed until later.
